These two texts contain all of the fundamental concepts discussed in typical college level Principles of Macroeconomics and Principles of Microeconomics courses.
In addition to clearly written text, there are many videos authored by John Bouman (also available on YouTube) , many Internet links, and end-of-unit quizzes to test your knowledge of the material.
In the Resources section there are corresponding Prezi slides for instructors to display during in-class lectures and for students to use as an outline. In addition, there are pdf versions of the texts for easy printing.

The author
John Bouman received undergraduate and graduate degrees in economics from Indiana University of Pennsylvania, Indiana, Pennsylvania, and the University of Maryland, College Park, Maryland, respectively. In addition, he completed Ph.D. course work in economics from the Johns Hopkins University and the College of Notre Dame in Baltimore, Maryland. Mr. Bouman was born and raised in Amsterdam, The Netherlands, and moved to the United States at the age of 18. He taught economics, business, management and mathematics courses at the University of Maryland (College Park), Allegany Community College (PA), and Penn State University. He is currently a full professor of economics at Howard Community College in Columbia, Maryland. Howard Community College has received several national awards for its innovative and productive teaching and learning systems. Mr. Bouman, a three time Faculty Forum (Senate) President, was recently honored as the students’ (SGA) choice for outstanding faculty, and has twice been selected as Social Sciences Outstanding Faculty.
